MVUU Camp is located in the Liwonde area of southern Malawi. At 548 square kilometres, Liwonde National Park is an important conservation area and the best known location for safari in Malawi.

Malawi’s Mvuu Camp is an extremely beautiful place, with a mix of riverine, motane and grassland habitats, set against the backdrop of Rift Valley escarpments and containing good populations of elephants, hippos and crocodiles in particular, as well as really superb range of birds.

Mvuu Camp is operated by Central African Wilderness Safaris, which was established way back in 1987 by Chris and Pam Badger, who are still at the helm.

Dining options

The food service at Mvuu Camp is usually very high quality, although perhaps not to the same elevated levels of other more expensive properties.

Meals are usually served at separate tables in conventional restaurant style, either in the main dining room or out by the campfire.

Special diets such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher and other variations should not be a problem, as long as you let us know at the time of booking.

Tipping Guide

In Africa, tipping is definitely not obligatory, but it is common place. If you feel that the service provided has been excellent, then you may consider giving tips.

Staffs understand that guests of different nationalities come from different tipping cultures and adjust their expectations accordingly, so you really should tip as you feel comfortable.

Mvuu Camp provides access to a range of guided activities like vehicle safari, mountain biking, motorboat safari, walking safari and the likes. Trust me, you’d like to check it out!
