Today, Kamaroutes is taking you to the lovely Maliba lodge, located within the Tsehlanyane National Park (northern part of Lesotho), 2hrs away from SA’s Golden Gate National park and less than 5hrs away from Johannesburg Airport… Plus, there’s snow in winter!
The lodge offers 3 accommodation options:
Mountain chalets ( with either twin or double beds): There are 6 large and exclusive stone and thatch luxury chalets. Each one has its luxurious bath, fireplace, and private patio and viewing deck. Rates are exclusive of all meals
River lodge rooms: There are 4 double story large stone and thatch river lodges that have 4 bedrooms each and can accommodate up to 8 people. The lodges are located on a Scenic riverbank within the national park about 1 km from the main lodge. The lodges are self catering and come with fully equipped kitchens
Riverside huts: The river huts are cozy round traditional Rondavels ideal for 2 people. They come with ensuites, comfortable Queen size beds and are located next to a pristine river swimming hole within the national park.
Maliba lodge provides a variety of guided activities for children (swimming, dinosaur footprint tour) & adults in 4×4 or by foot. It is possible to hike or do some horse-riding, archery or participate to their community outreach programmes. The lodge also has a spa, the restaurant is open from 8am to 9:30 pm & the five star, mouth-watering dishes can be paired with the wines of the lodge’s cellar.
