Finding a restaurant in Harare wasn’t such a big stress because Gava’s was on every lip on arrival. So we decided to try it out!

Gava’s Restaurant is a prominent African restaurant, which serves Zimbabwean food in Harare. It is an established name that has consistently provided tasty local dishes to a variety of diners.

Gava’s is popular due to certain reasons; the meals are lovingly prepared to preserve authentic flavours and are served in the traditional Zimbabwean way.

Welcome to Gava’s Restaurant

The restaurant is a great place to bring family, friends or business associates as the customer service is top notch and the environment is very comfortable.

Gava’s is open for lunch and dinner 7days a week, but Sunday is their best day; promising live-band entertainment plus a jumping castle for children. The smoky aroma from the braai, great food, the laughter and lively activity all make a truly refreshing afternoon. The whole ambience makes you feel right at home.

The menu comprises a wide selection of tasty stews which can be served with Sadza or Rice and a side of sugar beans and leafy greens.

Picking may be a hard task as familiar favourites such as Road runner and Beef stew are beautifully executed and the delicacies such as Hanga (guinea fowl), beef offal are equally irresistible. Dishes from the grill are so tantalising they become instant favourites with many first timers!

There is no comparison as long as Nyama Choma is concerned, the best Zimbabwean beef (T-Bone), chicken, Boerwors or Hake (a tasty local sausage) all grilled to perfection! As they say Gava’s is about Sadza with soul!
